Welcome to the Palngun Wurnangat Aboriginal Corporation website. We are so proud and excited to share our website with you all.
Wadeye is located in a remote pocket of North West Northern Territory. We don’t have passing traffic in Wadeye so rather than allow that to contain us we decided to share our amazing local talents and skills in a forum where you can share our journey and support us along the way.
Palngun Wurnangat means ‘strong women together’. The women of Wadeye are resilient, talented, strong and committed to the growth and development of their community.
The hand printed fabrics that are produced at the PWAC Art Centre are recognised for the vibrant colours and recognition of local fauna and flora. Each length of fabric is printed by hand and has unique qualities to it. Each artist has their own story behind their creativity and each design has its own story to tell as well. By creating this website we are sharing those stories and giving our very talented artists the opportunity to share their work with a much larger community. When you buy products from our website you are supporting our Not for Profit Corporation and you are ensuring PWAC can continue to invest in this very remote community and continue to support such wonderful people.
What you see today is just the beginning we will continue grow our product offer and stories we hope you continue to check in with us regularly and follow our story.
Thank you for supporting us, your support is extremely valued.
