Palngun Wurnangat Aboriginal Corporation
The Women’s Centre run by the Palngun Wurnangat Aboriginal Corporation, is a home to a growing number of indigenous female artists whose contemporary and traditional designs are represented through screen and lino prints, stencil work and sewing tableware, Manchester and clothing. Senior women are sharing their traditional weaving skills with young women and girls. Their beautiful woven products are both functional and decorative.
Palnangun Wurnangat Aboriginal Corporation is an independently owned indigenous women’s organisation based in Wadeye Northern Territory Australia. It is governed by women from throughout the Thamarrurr region. Palngun Wurnangat was established in 1990 to provide support to families by delivering social and economic outcomes that involve and benefit the people of the Thamarrurr region
