Our Fabric

Each of our fabrics are screen printed by hand by our strong women at Palngun Wurnangat Aboriginal Corporation’s Art Centre in Wadeye, Northern Territory.

Almost all of our processes are in-house, ensuring that as much money as possible stays with Wadeye households.  The colour for each product is hand-mixed and applied in our print room using either screen printing, lino block printing or stencilling techniques.  Occasional variances and imperfections are part of the beauty of a completely hand-made product.

All fabrics use Permaset Aqua fabric paint and contain no CFC’s, HCFC’s, volatile solvents, Phalates, or aromatic hydrocarbons. All ingredients are GMO free and do not contain animal products or byproducts. Additionally paints are not tested on animals.   All fabrics are heat treated on-site to ensure colour-fastness.   Using our fabric care notes will ensure your Wadeye textile art has a long and vibrant life!

If you wish to reorder the same design and colour at a later date, please be aware that fabric and paint colours may vary. We photograph fabrics as true to colour as possible but computers display colours differently so please take this into consideration.
