Palngun Wurnangat Aboriginal Corporation retail business
The retail business within Palngun Wurnangat Aboriginal Corporation (PWAC) has developed over time. In the beginning it was a small corner area of the original Women’s Centre building that began to grow over time.
The retail business gave the opportunity for the hand printed fabrics and products to be sold and this was the beginning of a very loyal customer following.
In 2016 PWAC were beyond proud when we opened the T-House complex that houses the T-House café and retail shop. This complex was only able to be realised after PWAC secured a government grant to which PWAC funded the remaining funds needed from revenue generated from its enterprises.
The retail store is run by Bridget (Milmi) Melpi and Annette Berida and is continuing to grow with every week and month that passes.
The brand new store has been fitted out with contemporary fixtures and fittings to ensure all merchandise is showcased beautifully. With ongoing training in visual merchandising and stock management Bridget and Annette are keeping the shop looking fantastic and constantly changing.
With our brand new website now up and running and social media followings – the sky is the limit for the Palngun Wurnangat brand.
